Durga Saptasati is a text in which Devimahatmyam is specifically described. Sage Markandeya composed Durga Saptasati. This particular text written by him enables one to attain siddha on Tantra. In this lesson, the person gains success in Biddeshan, Uchatan, Maran, Mohon, Vashikaran etc. It is said that Mother Bhagwati lives in the house where Durga Saptasati is recited at the same time every day.
