In the current social system, families are gradually changing into smaller families, due to which we are deprived of many important things, the knowledge that helps us to control our daily life and we are deprived of the use of that knowledge, as a result of which we suffer many bad consequences in our daily life.
Earlier almost all people knew the names of Kuldevi, Istdev or Devi. Now if you ask someone who is their family goddess? Or who is Ishtadev Devi? You will see that in many cases most people cannot say. But this matter is very important with which the well-being of your family is closely related.
Ishta Dev protects you. Kul Devi protects your family. The growth of your clan, the protection of the clan are all the responsibility of the Kuladev or Goddess of the clan. We find an authentic example of this in the Ramayana. Indrajit started the Nikumbhila Yajna to save his clan and himself. If this yajna was completed, Indrajit would become invincible by the grace of his goddess. And for that reason Lakshan Hanuman ji destroyed the yajna on the advice of Vibhishan so that Indrajit could not perform the yajna of Kuldevi and Lakshan killed Indrajit. If Indrajit could have performed that yajna, then surely he would have become invincible by the grace of his clan goddess. He could have saved himself and his family.
Surely you understand that your family’s goddess has a big role in the happiness and sorrow of your family, various accidents and dangers, the growth of progress. If you can please him then surely all problems will be removed as well as all new ones in your family and you will improve day by day with his blessings.
Now the million dollar question is you don’t know who your Kuldev or Devi is? So what to do now? What is the way to know?
To find Kuldevi, you need to perform the following actions. By this you will definitely get information about your Kuldevi.
Do this on eleventh Tuesday to get Kuldevi.
This work should be started from Shuklapaksha Tuesday. First take Whole Super after shower. Take a betel nut bath and keep it in a clean cloth in Tagore’s house and worship it with Panch Upachar. Then you pray, “O goddess of our clan, I know nothing about who you are, where you are. Therefore I invite you in this prayer.” Saying this three times do the betel nut pooja. And keep betel nut in house temple.
Pray at night
Now pray again at night “O goddess of my clan, I want to know you. Please come into my dreams and guide me. Tell me in my dreams how to know about you and where to find you. After this prayer put betel nut down. Pillow and sleep.”
Do this for eleven consecutive Tuesdays
Fasting should be done on Tuesday. You will find that by doing this action, your Kula Devi will guide you in your dreams. And also tell about its location.
When Jagat Guru Puri Shankaracharya was asked about this, he said that if one prays simultaneously during sleep, “O my Kula Devi, come in my dreams and guide me. Tell me in my dream how I will know you or where I will see you.” If such a prayer is recited every night, surely a goddess will
appear through the dream and convey all the information. This is the wisdom of Jagatguru Puri Shankaracharya.
